Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) extends a sincere thanks and appreciation to The Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation (“CCHF”) for awarding MRH $65,000 to fund the Early Mobility: Move Early and Often project.
Getting patients up early and often is a newer process in ICUs in large health systems. Like most critical access hospitals, MRH is not equipped to facilitate mobility. With the funding received from the CCHF, patients, residents, and caregivers will benefit by integrating innovative, “early and often” mobility best practices.
This project consists of three main goals: Improve patient experience and outcomes, reduce the overexertion experienced by caregivers, and gather metrics, measures, and lessons learned regarding the Early and Often program that will be shared with United Healthcare Partners affiliate, Deckerville Community Hospital.
