Elizabeth Mavis, Nurse Practitioner, Marlette Family HealthCare ~ Marlette Regional Hospital is pleased to share with you that Elizabeth Mavis, MSN, FNP-BC, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, has joined our medical team and will be working in partnership with Jabir Akhtar, MD, and the staff of Marlette Family HealthCare serving patients’ healthcare needs beginning Monday, January 25, 2021.
Elizabeth ‘Liz’ received her advanced nurse practitioner certification from the University of Michigan – Flint. No stranger to the Thumb Region, Liz was a 2002 graduate of Sandusky High School and she completed clinical rotations with our very own Shannon Swanson, MSN, FNP-BC at our Marlette Family HealthCare practice as well as with Dr. Golechha, MD, FACP. Before pursuing her nurse practitioner certification, Liz has been working tirelessly at MRH as a registered nurse for the past thirteen years.
Liz is passionate about serving her local community and developing a positive patient-provider experience with her patients, and their families, to improve their health and wellbeing. Liz’s services include, but are not limited to, care of acute illnesses, chronic disease management, preventative health care, well-child care, adolescent care, and men’s and women’s health care.
