Staff & Resident Moderna COVID-19 Vaccinations Begin at MRH

Staff & Resident Moderna COVID-19 Vaccinations Begin at Marlette Regional Hospital ~ Marlette Regional Hospital joined many hospitals and nursing homes across the State of MI this week by administering our first Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to staff and nursing home residents that had elected to be immunized against the virus.

In coordination with MDHHS and our local health department in Phase 1A of statewide COVID-19 vaccinations, Marlette Regional Hospital received 300 doses to vaccinate our healthcare workers. Our long-term care unit (nursing home) staff and residents also took part in vaccination through the Pharmacy Partnership for Long-term Care (LTC) Program. The pharmacy partnership is a national initiative to provide safe COVID-19 vaccination to the Phase 1A priority groups of long-term care facility residents and staff at no cost to the facility. MDHHS partnered with CVS Pharmacy to vaccinate MRH’s long-term care unit.

Pictured are staff members rolling up their sleeves— Dr. Hanczaruk of MRH’s Emergency Department and Patti Leonard, RN, Director of the MRH Long-Term Care Unit.
