Dr. Sarah Albers Receives Board Certification in Wound Healing Services

Dr. Sarah Albers Receives Board Certification in Wound Healing Services ~ Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) is pleased to announce and congratulate Sarah Albers, MD, MPH, FACEP, CWSP on her recent board certification as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP) from the American Board of Wound Management.

Dr. Albers is board certified in emergency medicine and has been instrumental in the exceptional patient outcomes that have resulted from Marlette Wound Healing Services, MRH’s newest outpatient clinic that opened earlier this summer to treat patients with non-healing wounds. Dr. Albers is the clinic’s attending physician and she works in partnership with clinical staff specially trained in wound healing.
Dr. Albers shares, “Wound care is a specialty that is needed by many patients for a variety of reasons. Prior to our June 2020 opening there were no local clinics. Our wound care clinic in Marlette allows patients in our community to be served by professional, caring, and compassionate staff close to home. We treat patients like family!”

Marlette Wound Healing Services treats all wounds and coordinates traditional and advanced therapies that aid and accelerate the healing process. For patients that means faster healing times, longer-lasting results, decreased amputation rates, and increased mobility—all leading to a better quality of life. Current conditions being treated in Marlette include, but are not limited to: diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, arterial/ischemic ulcers, traumatic wounds, infected wounds, crush injuries, and compromised flaps or grafts.
Marlette Wound Healing Services is located in Suite 4 of the Medical Office Building at Marlette Regional Hospital. For more information, call 989-635-4103.
