MARLETTE REGIONAL HOSPITAL RELAXES VISITOR RESTRICTIONS FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL HOSPITAL SERVICES & HEALTHCARE CLINICS ~ In response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak and in accordance with directives from Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, Marlette Regional Hospital has relaxed visitor restrictions for all hospital-owned facilities with the exception of the Hannah D. Wolfe Retirement Residence and the Long-Term Care Unit. There has been NO CHANGE in directives from the governor at this time for residential care facilities, so visitor restrictions remain in place for those two facilities.

Visitors refers to anyone accompanying a patient seeking medical care or those seeking entry to visit someone admitted to the hospital or hospice.

For emergency room, surgical services, inpatient, observation, swing bed, hospice, and physician office visits, one healthy person is allowed to accompany or visit a patient.

Pediatric patients under the age of 17 are allowed two healthy parents/guardians.

No visitors are allowed to accompany patients for outpatient testing or services at this time. Exceptions will be made for parents/guardians accompanying minors, those exercising power of attorney, those with physical/mental impairments, and certain compassionate care situations such as end-of-life care.

All patients, staff, and visitors will continue to be screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival to our facilities. Entry will be denied to any individual presenting with these symptoms or risk factors. Visitors who are medically able to tolerate a face mask will be asked to wear one for the duration of their visit.
