Marlette Regional Hospital Employees “Commit to Be Fit” ~ As a healthy start to the New Year, Marlette Regional Hospital employees faced off in a “Commit to be Fit” six-week weight-loss challenge. Teams of employees worked together to achieve weight loss through healthy eating and regular exercise. In addition, there were weekly mini-challenges to promote healthy lifestyles with prizes awarded along the way.
At the end of the six weeks, Team “Hannah’s Heavenly Helpers” was awarded first place with a 6.56% weight loss. Their team of four lost nearly 60 pounds combined and attribute their success to teamwork, accountability, good food choices, exercise and lots of laughter. Their team was presented with a certificate as well as $50 gift cards.
The “Commit to Be Fit” challenge gained participation from 23 teams consisting of 89 employees with a total weight loss of 418 pounds! The MRH WellTeam sponsored this employee challenge.
