Independent Bank Volunteers Support Area Seniors ~ Independent Bank’s Marlette branch recently spent a day out of the office to dig in at Marlette Regional Hospital’s long-term care unit courtyard garden. Marlette Regional Hospital’s long-term care unit is a highly-rated, hospital-attached, 39-bed licensed and skilled nursing facility that provides short- and long-term care services to Thumb Area residents.
Independent Bank has been a generous supporter of this annual project, coming in for cleanup in the spring and fall, to ensure that the nursing home residents have a beautiful landscape to enjoy all year long. Just earlier this spring they planted a beautiful array of flowering perennials that added pops of color throughout the garden.
In addition to the time and human resources they give, Independent Bank recently gave a monetary contribution of $500 to Marlette Regional Hospital’s long-term care unit to benefit a resident Christmas party and other enrichment activities.
Marlette Regional Hospital extends its most sincere thanks to Independent Bank for their commitment to this project and for their generous contribution to improve the quality of life for our nursing home residents.
