Continuing Education Offering for Diabetic Patients

The diabetes education program of Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) and McKenzie Health System invites area diabetic patients to take advantage of an enrichment event that can assist them in taking control of their health. This enrichment event will be offered on Tuesday, June 6th in Marlette from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

MRH Diabetes Educator Lorraine Drake, RN, CDE will teach attendees about flavoring with herbs and marinades. Flavor is a language that anyone can master. This class will introduce herbs, teach culinary uses for the different varieties including homemade marinades, teach how to pair meats with herbs, and attendees will learn how to grow their own herb gardens.

This event will be hosted at the MRH East Campus in Marlette, located at 2861 Main Street. A guest is welcome to attend with participants and refreshments will be provided.
