In an effort to support our local United Hospice Service program and ensure that hospice care is available to those in need, a group of exceptional volunteers are coordinating the annual Hospice Walk fundraiser. This fundraiser allows participants to pay tribute to their loved ones by walking in honor or in memory of someone special while supporting a worthy cause.
The Hospice Walk is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Marlette. Event registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Marlette Elementary School, located at 6230 Euclid Street. Participants can walk as little or as much as they would like on the beautiful outdoor walking trail, Gayle’s Trail, from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Recognition will be given to those who are being honored and memorialized by event supporters.
There are several opportunities for individuals and businesses to support this year’s Hospice Walk. Sponsorship levels are as follows: Walk Supporter is $25 and includes the walk fee and event tee shirt; Pink Heart Sponsorship is $100 and includes a customized sign, walk fee, and a tee shirt or sweatshirt; Red Heart Sponsorship is $300 and includes business logo printed on event signage and tee shirts, a walk fee, and tee shirt or sweatshirt. Sponsorships should be received no later than April 25th to receive full recognition on event signage and tee shirts.
Businesses and individuals alike who would like to support United Hospice Service, but do not wish to participate in the Hospice Walk are welcome to give a monetary donation in support of this year’s event. All proceeds raised through this fundraiser help hospice patients and families in our local communities.
