MRH Offers Free Community Transitions Program

Marlette Regional Hospital Offers Free Community Transitions Program ~ Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) is pleased to offer individuals and their families a new service through its Transitions program. Transitions is a free community service that aims to provide support to individuals facing a life-limiting illness and their families.

Our Transitions Coordinator, Kimberly Klida, MSW, works with individuals and families to identify needs and provides resources for care providers and community services. Transitions utilizes specially-trained volunteers who donate their time to offer companionship and support to individuals who may be receiving curative care or are not ready for Hospice services. Volunteers provide practical assistance including helping with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, and respite for family members or caregivers. Transitions volunteers provide friendship and support to help individuals and families cope with the challenges of illness, medical treatments, and outcomes.
Transitions services are available at no charge to anyone with a life-limiting illness. Individuals living at home, with family, in a skilled nursing facility, or an assisted living facility may receive Transitions services.

For information about the Transitions program, please call 800-635-7490 and ask for the Transitions Coordinator.
