Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) is pleased to announce the addition of board certified general surgeon Forrest Robart, DO to its medical team. Dr. Robart makes one of five general surgeons providing services at Marlette Regional Hospital, which, in turn, gives patients more choices when it comes to their care.
Dr. Robart is employed by Hurley Health Services of Lapeer, MI and his areas of expertise include general, laparoscopic, and endoscopic surgeries. For patients visiting Marlette Regional Hospital, Dr. Robart will provide consultations and perform surgical procedures the second and fourth Friday of each month, by appointment, in Suite 5 of the MRH Medical Office Building.
Dr. Robart is a graduate of Nova-Southeastern University of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his general surgery residencies at Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, MI and St. John Detroit Riverview Hospital where he was Resident of the Year in 1999 and 2000. Prior to joining Hurley Health Services, Dr. Robart owned an independent surgical practice and served as the medical director for Battle Creek’s Wound Healing Center & Hyperbaric Medicine. He has also served as the proctor for general surgery oral board exams for The American Osteopathic Board of Surgery for the last five years and currently serves on McKenzie Health System’s Peer Review Committee.
