Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs all aspects of Diagnostic, Non-Invasive, Invasive, Interpretation, Assessment and Treatment of patients in respiratory care, cardiac testing, and neurology testing.  Educates and informs patients of procedures and care for patient’s health needs.  Continuously strives to improve education and job skills to better care for patients.


EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.                           

LICENSURE/REGISTRY/CERTIFICATION: Must have passed NBRC CRT and RRT exams and possess current Michigan Respiratory license/registry. Current BLS certification required.

EXPERIENCE: One-year hospital experience in respiratory care preferred.


  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, initiate task on own without supervision.
  • Willingness to learn and become efficient in cardiac and neurology testing.
  • Must be willing to acquire and use new skills.
  • Demonstrated maturity and the ability to establish good rapport with patients, the public and staff.
  • Interacts well with severely ill or difficult patients, including children.
  • Possess a high degree of teaching talents.
