POSITION SUMMARY:      An Emergency Medical Technician with additional advanced training to perform more difficult pre-hospital medical procedures.  Providing continued assessment of the patient as they care for and transport the sick or injured to a medical facility for further treatment and care.         

POSITION HOURS: Casual position with 24 hours shifts.


 EDUCATION:  High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an EMTP  program,  or a degree from an accredited school with passing scores.

 LICENSURE/REGISTRY/CERTIFICATION:  State Paramedic licensure required; ACLS & BLS required; PALS, PHTLS, and other specialty certification preferred.  Certificate of Emergency Vehicle Driving Course required.  Possess a current valid Michigan driver’s license.

 EXPERIENCE:  Two years EMT Experience.  Previous experience preferred as EMTP.


  • Ability to act in a leadership role in stressful situations, with the ability to prioritize decisions and act quickly in the best interest of the patient
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills to facilitate and coordinate care of patients
