Brown City Rotary Donates to United Hospice Service

The World’s Fastest Pancake Maker, Chris Cakes, assisted the Brown City Rotary Club in serving up their largest single donation to United Hospice Service following their 28th annual Pancake Supper.

Due to the popularity of this annual fundraising event, the dinner was hosted at Brown City High School in conjunction with the home varsity basketball game against Marlette. Serving patrons throughout the evening was guest cook Chris Cakes, the Guinness Book of World Records holder for the most pancakes flipped in an hour as well as the highest pancake tossed.

United Hospice Service is thankful for the Brown City Rotary’s long-time support of its program. All proceeds from the Pancake Supper will be used to assist hospice in providing care to terminally ill patients and their families.

Presenting a check for $4,000 on behalf of the Brown City Rotary Club was President Jay Berry, and he is pictured with United Hospice Service Volunteer Coordinator Madelyn Huffman.
