Marlette Regional Hospital’s CDM Earns Certificate of Advanced Learning ~
Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) extends congratulations to employee Nancy Mahaffy, a certified dietary manager of its nutritional services department, for completing the Association of Nutrition & Foodservices Professionals’ (ANFP) new, 30-hour continuing education course “Building on Medical Nutrition Therapy Basics.”
This online education course reinforces basic medical nutrition therapy principles and provides in-depth information on the science supporting medical nutrition therapy for various diseases and conditions.
As a certified dietary manager, Nancy plays a vital role in the delivery of health care services at Marlette Regional Hospital. In addition to daily operations of the department, Nancy collects and compiles nutrition data and alerts members of the interdisciplinary team about nutrition status and changes in the overall health of the patients we serve.
MRH Chef Bryan comments, “I am very proud of Nancy for her dedication to this hospital and our team by seeking out advanced education and training. Nancy has been with the hospital for nearly 40 years and has an extensive knowledge base in food and nutrition.”
