Give Blood and Save Lives on October 11th ~ Did you know that with just one donation of blood you could save a life, potentially up to three lives? There are four types of transfusable products that can be derived from blood: red cells, platelets, plasma, and cryoprecipitate. Typically, two or three of these are produced from one pint of donated blood—hence why each donation can help save up to three lives.
If you are a healthy adult and are willing to help the millions of patients that will need a blood transfusion this year, visit the American Red Cross blood drive on Thursday, October 11th from 12 Noon – 5:45 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Parish Hall in Marlette.
