COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Improving the Health of Our Communities for the Future
Community health needs assessments (CHNA) and their associated implementation strategies are newly required of tax-exempt hospitals, like Marlette Regional Hospital, as a result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. These assessments are completed every three years to ensure that hospitals have the information they need to provide community benefits that meet the needs of the communities they serve. Information collected in the survey process is gathered from people who represent the broad interests of the community served by the hospital facility, including those with special knowledge of or expertise in public health.
